The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards in securities markets.

Mumbai, February 12, 2026 — The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) launched the NISM Ideathon 2025 on Cybersecurity and Investor Awareness for College Students on August 1, 2025, and invited submissions until September 30, 2025.

This special initiative formed part of NISM’s broader advocacy efforts aimed at enhancing financial literacy and promoting investor education in India’s securities markets. Under this initiative, a total of 339 proposals were received and evaluated through multiple rounds of assessment.

Following these rounds, ten shortlisted teams were invited to the NISM campus to make their final presentations on February 12, 2026, at the Ideathon event held alongside the Sixth International Research Conference on Securities Markets.
